Armenia opens criminal case against ex-chief of General Staff

Armenia’s National Security Service has launched a criminal case against the former chief of the country’s General Staff, Colonel General Movses Hakobyan.

Hakobyan faces charges under Article 306 (disclosure of state secrets) of the Criminal Code of Armenia, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian media.

Hakobyan confirmed the media reports, noting that he was interrogated at the National Security Service and given an undertaking not to leave his place of residence.
