Azerbaijani TPPs slightly increase electricity generation
Around 13.7 billion kilowatts of electricity was generated in Azerbaijan in January-August 2013 which is 1.8 per cent lower than the same period of 2012, the country`s State Statistics Committee said on Friday.
According to the State Committee, around 12.64 billion kilowatt/h of the total volume of electricity generated in January-August fell to thermal power plants which is 0.9 per cent more than in January-August, 2012.

Azerbaijan`s hydro power plants generated around 1.06 billion kilowatt/h of electricity in January-August, which is 25.8 per cent lower than in January-August, 2012.

Azerenergy JSC is engaged in the generation and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan.
