U.S. diplomats to make joint efforts to resolve Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
U.S Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, James Warlick together with the new U.S. ambassador to the OSCE Daniel Baer will make joint efforts on Nagorno-Karabagh conflict resolution.

It was written by Warlick on his Twitter page.

He wished successes to the new U.S. ambassador to the OSCE Daniel Baer.

Note that Baer took the oath as U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE on September 10, and took up his duties.

Earlier Baer worked in Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor of the United States.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 per cent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the THE OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the U.S. are currently holding peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council`s four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
