Footage shows moment vehicle carrying Azerbaijani journalists hit landmine in Kalbajar

As reported earlier, two Azerbaijani journalists became the next victims of the Armenian war crimes. On the morning of June 4, 2021, a vehicle carrying members of the film crew hit an anti-tank mine on the road in Susuzlug village of Kalbajar region. As a result of the explosion, two members of the film crew, cameraman of Azerbaijan Television Siraj Abishov and correspondent of the Azerbaijan State News Agency Maharram Ibrahimov, as well as representative of the district executive power Arif Aliyev were killed and four people were injured.

Video footage, showing the moment a vehicle carrying on-duty Azerbaijani media representatives hit a landmine in the country’s liberated Kalbajar district on June 4, has been released.

AzVision.az presents the footage:

The death of journalists brings the number of civilians killed in the landmine explosions after the end of the Karabakh conflict to 20. Armenia’s refusal to abide by the international law and hand over landmine maps in spite of a mounting number of victims, further strains the regional situation. We call on all international organizations to put pressure on Armenia to end its perpetration of crimes against humanity.
