"Stand up, Armenia" initiative awareness action finishes
The awareness action held by the "Stand up, Armenia" initiative in Yerevan has finished.
The initiative member Gevorg Yeghiazaryan told news.am that the awareness action yielded positive results, since other citizens also joined the march.

“The awareness action certainly yielded positive results. We started off with few people, whose number increased on return. We were also joined by Russian citizens,” he said.

About 20 activists of the “Stand up, Armenia” initiative are currently in Yerevan’s Republic Square. The situation is peaceful and they are going to spend the night in the square today. The activists are controlled by about sixty policemen.

The 72-hour sit-in announced by the “Stand up, Armenia” initiative is coming to its end today, but the activists are continuing to stay in the Republic Square, since they haven’t achieved their goal and staged a sit-in in the central part of the square.
