Protest movements join in Yerevan
“Liberation” movement, which demands change of power, today joined the activists of “Stand up, Armenia” initiative, who had been staging a sit-in against electricity price hike in Yerevan’s Republic Square for already 7 days.

About twenty members of the movement, mainly elderly citizens, marched from Liberty Square to the Republic Square. They marched across the Northern Avenue, holding banners and urging the citizens to join them.

According to the initiative member Arthur Movsisyan, by joining “Stand up, Armenia” they wish to serve as an example to the other initiatives struggling against different issues.

“Our goal is that we all join together, form a single front and remove the regime. Currently there are also other issues besides the electricity price hike; separate groups can do nothing. And we urge the others to join not us but one common idea and reach change of power,” Movsisyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

He also said that in the future they will hold actions as well.
