Azerbaijan-Russia-Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan-Russia exercises to be held in Caspian Sea
The Russian navy will have held two international exercises in the Caspian Sea by the end of this year, according to Russian Navy Commander, Admiral Viktor Chirkov, Azvision.az reports.

He said the exercises will also joined by the naval forces of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, adding that one of the exercises will be trilateral (Russia-Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan) and the other will be bilateral (Russia-Azerbaijan).

“A number of issues associated with elimination of threats to the security in the water area of the Caspian Sea and interaction for the strengthening of stability will be reviewed during the exercises,” he noted.

Note that, two naval competitions – Caspian Cup 2015 and Caspian Derby 2015 – underway in the Caspian Sea (from August 3 to 11). The Azerbaijani Navy is also participating in the competitions.
