Garayev expressed hope that the new ambassador would spare no efforts to contribute to developing the Azerbaijan-Italy relations, AzerTAc repots.
The two discussed the current state of and prospects for cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Garayev noted that the cultural events organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Italy in recent years played an indispensable role in terms of popularization of Azerbaijani culture in the friendly country.
Giampaolo Cutillo said that Italy was interested in deepening bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan in all fields.
