President of the European Council Charles Michel made the remark at the press conference held in Armenia.
Charles Michel said that EU want to be involved in the region, strengthen relations with the countries of the region and make preparations for the summit of the Eastern Partnership.
"We hope that the minefield maps will be handed over (to Azerbaijan) and the process of border demarcation and delimitation will start. We hope that it will be possible to start discussions about cooperation on transport communication, which will contribute to the economic development. Peace negotiations are important. EU is ready to resolve these problems and be constructive partner in promotion of democratic values."
