Deputy Health Minister: Prices of all medicines will be regulated by March 2016
Deputy minister said that at the initial stage medicines prescribed for the treatment of the most common diseases were included in this list.
Aghayev said that the Ministry of Health approved an “Action plan on improving supply of medicines and strengthening control over pharmaceutical management”. “It covers continuing close cooperation with the Tariff Council, ensuring control over the physician’s prescriptions, banning the sale of medicines prescribed in non standard forms, reconsidering lists of the most important medicines and medical equipments and making proposals on expanding types of medicines,” he said.
The deputy minister noted that in order to enhance the functioning and management of centralized pharmacies the staff schedules of pharmacies belonging to relevant medical facilities will be reviewed and necessary positions will be added the schedule.
“The action plan also includes the immediate analysis and taking of necessary actions, and other measures based on the reception of requests coming via electronic health, call center and other means about the quality and provision of medicines. The Ministry of Health will continue to carry out all necessary actions in this direction or another. We have highly-qualified staff and up-to-date equipment to achieve these goals before the Ministry of Health,” he said.
