A total of 193 people accredited for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics tested positive for COVID-19, organizers said on Thursday.
Tokyo 2020 shared a coronavirus positive case list on its website, saying there were 24 new cases – including three athletes – on July 29 as the total figure in the games reached 193.
The infected athletes were not named by the organizers, but they were said to be non-residents of Japan.
The new cases, which include 15 Tokyo 2020 contractors, were taken into quarantine.
