 Armenia violates ceasefire with Azerbaijan over 101 times within 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, the Armenian military 101 times violated ceasefire on various parts of the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops, Azerbaijan
Armenians stationed in the Berkaber village of Ijevan district opened fire on the Azerbaijani armed forces’ positions in the Gizilhajili village of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district.

Azerbaijani military also came under fire from Armenians stationed near the Gulustan , Tartar and Tapgaragoyunlu villages of Goranboy district, the Goyarkh, Chayli, Chilaburt, Gizil Oba villages of Terter district, Shikhlar, Shuraabad,, Sarijali, Javahirli, Kangarli, Novruzlu,Garagashli, Marzili villages of Aghdam district, the Kuropatkino village of Khojavand district, Garakhanbayli , Horadiz, Ashagi Abdurrahmanli , Ashagi Seyidehmedli villages of Fizuli district and from positions on nameless heights in Goygol Goranboy, Khodjavend and Fizuli.

The opposing side was silenced with return fire.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the US are currently holding peace negotiations. Armenia has not yet implemented the UN Security Council`s four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
