Interior Ministry stated that as a result of investigations carried out by the employees of the Southern District Office of Main Drug Enforcement Department and Goytapa Border Group of State Border Service (SBS), the attempt of a group of people to illegally cross into Azerbaijan from the Islamic Republic of Iran was prevented. They made armed resistance and retreated.
4 kg 425 gram of opium were seized from the scene.
