British Ambassador ends his visit to southern region of Azerbaijan
British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Irfan Siddiq
APA’s southern bureau reports that the diplomat was in Astara and Lankaran districts as a part of the visit aimed at being familiarized with the current state of Azerbaijani districts, along with the capital.

Irfan Siddiq has today visited dairy production company meeting European standards in Lankaran. Irfan Siddiq tasted ice cream products there.

The Ambassador said that the issues on expansion of tourism infrastructure in the region were discussed at the meetings with heads of Astara and Lankaran District Executive Authorities and noted that Britain is interested in cooperation with the southern region in the agricultural sector.

The diplomat highlighted that the British people are drinking a lot of tea, but there are not tea cultivation opportunities in his country, thus it is time to think about cooperation with this subtropical district regarding marketing and sale of Lankaran tea.
