Greece`s economy minister says talks at "final stretch"
Greek creditors report progress in talks for new bailout.
Greece`s Economy and Finance ministers are continuing talks with international creditors, saying that negotiations on a reforms-for-aid deal are approaching the "final stretch".

A bailout must be settled by August 20 - or a second bridge loan agreed - if Greece is to pay off debt of 3.5 billion euros to the European Central Bank.

According to Reuters, unnamed sources have said that the view of EU officials is that talks were proceeding smoothly and could be completed over the weekend.

Athens is negotiating with European Union institutions and the International Monetary Fund for up to 86 billion euros ( billion) in fresh loans to stave off economic collapse and stay in the euro zone.
