The commemoration ceremony was attended Yalova Governor Selim Cebiroğlu, Ak Party Yalova Deputy Fikri Demirel, Republican People’s Party (CHP) Deputy Muharrem İnce, Yalova Mayor Vefa Salman, Yalova Chief of Police Mehmet Ali Süvari and local residents.
At the beginning of ceremony, organized to commemorate the anniversary of the great disaster, left more than 18.000 people dead, a Mawlid was recited. When the clocks showed 03:02, which a time disastrous August 17 earthquake had occurred, people who attended the ceremony prayed those who lost their lives during the disastrous earthquake.
The ceremony commemoration was lasted following Yalova Municipality distributed to halva.
