  Moscow expresses readiness to help normalize Yerevan-Ankara ties

Moscow is ready to help normalize relations between Yerevan and Ankara, the spokesperson for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday, AzVision.az reports.

Zakharova affirmed that Armenia has asked for support in mediation between Yerevan and Ankara.

She noted that Russia is interested in the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and has declared several times that it is making efforts in this direction.

“Russia is ready to contribute to this in the future as well. The start of this process will, in our opinion, unquestionably improve the overall situation in the region and help shape a friendly-neighborly atmosphere. We will definitely provide information when it becomes practical,” Zakharova added.
