Erdogan approves agreement on Organization of Turkic States

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has approved the Protocol between the Turkish government and the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States on the establishment of a building for the Secretariat of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, AzVision.az reports.

According to a relevant decision signed by the head of state, the monthly rent of the building, located in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey, is 76,500 liras (according to the current exchange rate, about 10,500 manats).

The opening ceremony of a new building of the Secretariat of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States was held in Istanbul on November 12.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States Baghdad Amreyev attended the opening ceremony.

On the same day, the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was renamed the Organization of Turkic States.
