Criminal case opens into beating of Armenia initiative leader
A criminal case has been launched into the beating of the head of the “Intra-national Liberation Movement” initiative, Vahan Martirosyan, and his wife.

Press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia informed the aforesaid to Armenian news.am.

The pregnant wife of Vahan Martirosyan, head of the “Intra-national Liberation Movement” initiative, and who was beaten in their home, has lost their unborn child, Martirosyan told news.am.

“My wife lost the child because of all this,” he said. “I’m waiting to pick up a document about it from the doctor on Monday, August 24], and see what will happen according to it, since this incident makes the situation quite serious.”

Note, on August 15, a group of people had beaten Vahan Martirosyan and his wife in their home. As reported earlier, Martirosyan had told us that they were beaten by the close circles and bodyguards of Mher Sedrakyan, a ruling party MP. In his words, in this way, the MP’s close circles “demanded an answer” from his family for his criticisms against Gazprom Armenia CJSC.

A criminal case is launched into this beating.
