All conditions provided for holding of democratic elections
All conditions are provided in Azerbaijan for the holding of democratic elections. The foremost condition for the holding of democratic elections is the provision of public-political stability in the country. There no problems in Azerbaijan in this regard.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov made the remarks at the meeting held with chairmen of constituency election commissions in Baku on Friday.

Panahov noted that the first condition for elections is the electoral legislation and that the Electoral Code has been adopted.

“Necessary conditions are always provided for international and local observers to observe the elections. At the same time, surveillance cameras are installed in more than a thousand election centers for the transparency of elections. They can observe the election process in these centers from any part of the world over the Internet. Moreover, all constituency election commissions operate in modern buildings, so do the election centers,” he said.

Panahov also added that issues of the protection of election rights are included in the Electoral Code.

“The law enables the Azerbaijani citizen to ensure his/her right by appealing the highest court instance,” the CEC chairman stressed.

The CEC chairman called on chairmen of constituency election commissions to continue to be responsible in their mission.
