`Electric Yerevan` was staged by displeased population
Overwhelming majority (90%) of Armenian respondents believe the `Electric Yerevan` protests were nothing but self-organized movement of ordinary citizens, the survey shows.

It means 90 per cent of Armenians displease with government, so no any external factors can influence people.

Only two percent or respondents said that the rallies were organized by external forces, said Aram Navasardyan, head of Armenian Marketing Association NGO representing Gallup in Armenia that conducted the survey among 1,106 people in Yerevan and the regions.

Another two percent of respondents said the actions were staged by political forces inside Armenia for populist purposes, while again two percent of the survey participants argued the rallies were organized by the authorities to divert attention.

Asked when such actions as blocking Baghramyan Avenue are justified, 92 percent of respondents named social issues, 28 percent cited political struggle and three percent found it difficult to answer.

The protest actions in Yerevan continued from June 20 till July 6.
