Azerbaijan announces representative for Eurovision 2022

Azerbaijan has announced its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 to be held in Turin, Italy, the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company told News.Az. 

This year, Nadir Rustamli, the winner of the Voice of Azerbaijan contest, will represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Head of the Azerbaijani delegation for the Eurovision 2022, well-known composer Isa Malikov said that more than 300 songs had been submitted for selection, adding that the selection process will conclude in the second week of March and the song will be released.

The slogan for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is “The Sound of Beauty” as it revealed by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

The semi-finals are scheduled to be held on May 10 and 12, while the Grand Final will take place on 14 May at the Pala Olimpico in Turin, Italy.
