The Armenian media spread news about new threat posed by 'Metsamor' nuclear power plant. Several opposition websites shared photo taken by musician Ara Gorgyan, stating that there is no such gas, smoke or steam in normal conditions.
"Ara Gorgyan took the photo from Agavnatub village in Echmiadzin and wrote "Smoke from our nuclear power plant was halted. It would be better to shed light on what happened at the plant," the article read.
Note, 'Metsamor' NPP is considered one of the most dangerous power plants of the world. Its operation term has expired. Using out-of-date technology and not following safety instructions during the operation of the Metsamor poses serious environmental problems for the wider region.
