Overall repair in Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgayit railway continues.
Spokesman for Azerbaijan Railways Nadir Azmammadov told APA-Economics that tomorrow, a new connecting railroad in the length of 1.65 km will be built to go Sumgayit passenger station without entering the head station of the city.
At the same time, stations along with Baku-Sumgayit line are about to be completed.
The railway extends to 63 km, including 61 km already repaired. The works started on 3 March 2015 by Demiryolservis of Azerbaijani Railway Company with participation of the department of infrastructure. After overall repair, Baku-Sumgait electric trains will reach the destination point within 40 minutes.
