One person has been detained over the murder of Azerbaijani businessman Vugar Nurushov in Ukraine’s Kherson province.

Vugar’s brother Ilgar said in a statement to APA the detainee is 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen Rostislav Brinski, who serves as the bodyguard of former militia general Lugasyan. Rostislav has already admitted to the killing but has so far refused to name the client and other participants of the crime. The investigation is continuing.

Note that, Nurushov Vugar Giyas oglu (1976), a businessman originally from Azerbaijan’s Beylagan region, was killed in Kherson, the same city that has been the scene of the killing of Ilham Taghiyev, another Azerbaijani businessman. Vugar’s brother Ilgar believes his brother was killed by a group loyal to former militia general Lugasyan, who owns a market in the city.

“My brother’s shopes are close to that market. His patriotic position displeased relatives of Lugasyan who owns this market. They had threatened by brother several times before.
