  Moscow appoints special envoy for normalization of Baku-Yerevan relations

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has appointed OSCE Minsk Group co-chair Igor Khovayev its special envoy for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, a ministry spokesperson said on Thursday, AzVision.az reports.

Mariya Zakharova reiterated Russia’s determination to contribute to the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“To this end, Ambassador-at-Large Igor Khovayev will continue to serve as a special envoy of Russia’s Foreign Ministry for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” she added.
