Some 40 thousand observers registered to monitor October 9 presidential election
Some 40 thousand observers have been registered to monitor October 9 presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said in the opening of the Independent Press Center.
In addition, the process will be monitored by about 1300 observers from the Council of Europe, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, OSCE, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly as well as OSCE/ODIHR, Commonwealth of Independent States, CIS Parliamentary Assembly, Parliamentary Assembly of Turkish-speaking countries and up to 50 other international organizations, AzerTAc reports.
