The Minsk Group was established not to resolve the conflict, but to perpetuate the occupation, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said while delivering a speech at the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Shusha on April 22, AzVision.az reports.
The head of the state said that the Minsk Group, which was given a mandate to resolve this issue in 1992 had not achieved any result. Looking at the history, actions and suggestions of the group, it can be seen that it was established not to resolve the conflict, but to perpetuate the occupation. The influence of the Armenian lobby in co-chair countries is big. For that reason, this group has not achieved any result for 28 years.
