The situation with COVID-19 in Azerbaijan is very positive, and the measures taken enabled to take the situation under control during the difficult period of the pandemic, President Ilham Aliyev said as he received WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Henri Kluge on Tuesday, AzVision.az reports.
The head of state noted that Azerbaijan was one of the first countries to launch vaccination in early 2021, and to date, more than 13 million vaccine doses have been administered.
President Aliyev also said that the pandemic-related restrictions are gradually being lifted in Azerbaijan. He noted that very few restrictions are left due to the pandemic, and the Azerbaijani public treats this with understanding.
