Neste Jacobs Oy won the tender announced by SOCAR in mid-2014. It will act as a consultant of the carbamide plant construction project in Sumgait. It will also conduct inspections during the period of its construction.
A carbamide plant is planned to be fully commissioned in Sumgait in 2017.
Samsung Engineering acts as a general contractor of construction.
The plant will consist of the sectors producing ammonia, liquid and granulated carbamide. It is expected to produce 2,000 metric tons of carbamide per day.
