Azerbaijani deputy PM expected to visit Iran

Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev is expected to visit Iran, the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyed Abbas Mousavi said at the opening ceremony of the CASPINDEXPO 2022 international trade and industry exhibition in Baku, AzVision.az reports.

According to the envoy, a representative of the Iranian parliament is also expected to visit Azerbaijan.

He added that economic relations between Iran and Azerbaijan should develop further: “Because both countries are located in the same strategic region. The potential of these two countries must be used for the transit of goods in the world. Trade turnover between the two countries is not satisfactory for us. I think that the organization of such exhibitions will increase trade turnover between the two countries and it will reach $1 billion.”

The ambassador noted that the Azerbaijani market is important for Iran and hopes that the transit of Iranian products to other countries will be carried out through Azerbaijan.
