  Armenian opposition starts mass protests in Yerevan

The political situation in Armenia remains tense.

This morning, the opposition forces again tried to paralyze traffic by closing the streets of Yerevan, AzVision.az reports.

The police used force against the protesters and detained some of them, according to Armenian media.

The day before, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ishkhan Saghatelyan said that streets would be blocked and traffic in the capital would be paralyzed. He urged public sector workers, students to inform their employers and teachers that they would not go to work, to classes and join the opposition's fight.
