Aviation watchdog extends suspension of flights in southern Russia until June 6

The suspension of flights to some airports in southern and central Russia has been extended from May 31 to June 6, the aviation watchdog Rosaviatsia announced on Sunday, AzVision.az reports citing TASS. 

"The suspension of flights to 11 Russian airports has been extended until June 6, 2022 03:45 Moscow time," the aviation watchdog said.

The list of airports covered by the suspension has not changed and includes Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista.

Russian airlines are recommended to provide air service through alternative routes, using the airports of Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralniye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow.
