Moldovan Ombudsperson: "I will never go to Armenia"
Threats to Commissioner for Human Rights of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu, who was threatened and insulted after her speech about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict at the Armenian parliament on July 4, have quieted down.
Aurelia Grigoriu said the situation which she faced after her famous speech, has not changed.

Asked about her participation in the upcoming elections for the post of the commissioner for human rights in Moldova in autumn this year, Grigoriu said that her participation will depend on the discussion and adoption of the amendments to the law on the commissioner for human rights submitted to the Parliament of Moldova.

To the question “If Armenia organized an event on human rights, will you come to this country?”, she said: “I will never go to this country again. “They are very hospitable.” I will attend the International Humanitarian Forum in Baku on October 30.”

Commenting on the issue of the protection of the human rights of the victims of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Grigoriu noted that this issue is in the competence of Azerbaijan and its ombudsman: “But no matter where I work, I will try to involve the international community in the process of eliminating the violation of human rights.”
