Chairman of the International and Inter-parliamentary Relations Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament Samad Seyidov has met with a delegation from New Hampshire State, who are a on a visit to Azerbaijan, the parliament told.
The committee chairman spoke about friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, noting that the US is one of the strategic allies of Azerbaijan.
“Both sides are interested to expand political, economic, cultural, and trade relations. Azerbaijan cooperates with different US states. The New Hampshire and New Mexico states are especially eager to build tighter relations with us. Our countries closely cooperate in strategic areas as well as energy supply and counter-terrorism,” said Samad Seyidov.
The members of the US delegation – Susan Emerson Romeo Danais, Becky Field, Mary Balcom, Barbara Fridman expressed their contentment with being in Azerbaijan and their admiration for Azerbaijan’s hospitality, national cuisine, the capital’s beauty, and the construction work done in Azerbaijan.
