"The settlement of the Karabakh conflict has created new opportunities for the establishment of peace and stability in the region," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of the 9th Global Baku Forum on Thursday, AzVision.az reports.
Informing the participants about Azerbaijan's approach following the conflict, the head of the state said that this war was directed towards the restoration of justice, international law and national dignity.
"It is a unique case in the world, in which a state expelled an occupant from its lands and restored justice following a long-lasting conflict. Such cases are not frequent in the world. Why do we want peace ?! Because we want to establish a stable, sustainable and developed region, " the President emphasized.
