European observers: Azerbaijan`s Electoral Code meets international standards
The provisions of Azerbaijan`s Electoral Code meet international standards, the international observer of the Central European group of political monitoring from Lithuania Arturas Mankavichius said at a press conference in Baku on Tuesday.

"The transparency of the election will be assured in the case of voting day and the counting of votes is guided by the provisions of the Electoral Code," he stressed.

"Members of the monitoring group which I am a part, believe the organisation of the election at a high level justifies itself on Election Day," Belgian MP Johan Dekmin said.

"I am confident the election in Azerbaijan will be held at a high level," he stressed.

According to the observer from Estonia, Nicholai Mehnert, the preparation process for the election in Azerbaijan meets the European standards. "Azerbaijan is on the right track," he stressed.

The presidential election in Azerbaijan will be held on October 9.

The previous election was held on October 15, 2008. They are held in Azerbaijan every five years.
