Putin, Pashinyan discuss situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani border

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border during a phone call, the Armenian government’s press service said, AzVision.az reports.

Putin and Pashinyan discussed also issues relating to the implementation of decisions adopted based on Armenia’s appeal to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

On September 12, Armenian armed forces committed large-scale provocations in the Dashkasan, Kalabajar and Lachin directions of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. The Azerbaijani Army took adequate retaliatory actions. Armenian troops were forced to retreat after suffering heavy losses.
