Turkish FM says Karabakh`s liberation needed for normal ties with Armenia
"We attach great importance to normalization of relations with Armenia, but to do this it needs first of all to liberate the occupied territories of Azerbaijan."
It was announced foreign minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu as part of his official visit to Switzerland.

At a joint press conference with his Swiss counterpart Didier Burkhalter, the Turkish foreign minister noted that the dialogue between Ankara and Yerevan was suspended because of the fault of Armenian side, in particular, due to decision issued by the Constitutional Court of Armenia, 1news.az report quoting the Turkish media.

"However, Ankara hopes to continue the dialogue with Yerevan. The dialogue between Turkey and Armenia should be conducted in parallel with the negotiations on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict," Davutoglu added.

He recalled that in past only Switzerland made serious efforts to normalize Armenian-Turkish relations.

"My current visit coincided with the fourth anniversary of the signing of protocols between Turkey and Armenia. At the moment, a number of opinions are being voiced on this matter. We`re trying to move forward on this issue. It seems that in the near future we will intensify the work in this direction," said Davutoglu.
