Following the co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group of the United States James Warlick, who declared the non-recognition of U.S of so-called "parliamentary elections" in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Government of Germany expressed its opinion on the subject, Foreign Ministry of Germany told AzVision.az reports.


Responding to the request of the "Bulletin of the Caucasus" that according to the press service of the German Foreign Ministry, "the federal government recognizes neither the de facto regime in Nagorno-Karabakh, nor the elections they hold."

Thus, another attempt to mock the state undertaken by Karabakh separatists, has no chance to impress the official Berlin.

At the state level, Germany has pursued a consistent policy of non-recognition of "NKR", constantly confirming this position in various documents. So, last fall, the German Government, in its reply to a question of the parliamentary "Left" faction also refuted allegations of self-sufficiency of Defense Army of "NKR".

Then the German government reported that "self-defense forces" of so-called "Nagorno Karabakh Republic" have 23 000 soldiers. "8 000 of these are soldiers of regular troops of the Republic of Armenia"the Government`s response stated.

In the latter, the 11th report of the Federal Government of Germany for its human rights policy in the world it is said that "Armenia is responsible for the situation of human rights on the territories which belong Azerbaijan under the international law, including Nagorno-Karabakh, which Armenia has occupied since the armistice in 1994.`
