7-magnitude earthquake rocks Azerbaijan
A powerful earthquake has rocked Azerbaijan early this morning.
A 7-magnitude earthquake has shaken off Sheki, Azerbaijan, early Friday morning at 9:49AM.

The quake was noticed in the districts of Ujar, Aghdash, Shamakhy, Zagatala, Balaken, Sheki, Gabala, Ismayilli, Tovuz, Salyan, Sabirabad, and in the cities of Shirvan and Mingachevir.

The AMEA Republican Seismological Service Center confirmed the fact to AzVision.az.

The quake was noticed magnitude 7 in the epicenter and up to magnitude 4 in residential areas nearby, the AMEA Republican Seismological Service Center told AzVision.az.

The quake occurred at a depth of 13 km.
