Ruling party congratulates Ilham Aliyev on election win
Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) has congratulated its Chairman, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on his victory at the presidential elections.
In its congratulatory message, the party says: "On behalf of thousands of supporters of the ruling party, we congratulate you on your reelection as President of Azerbaijan, which is an indicator of high confidence of the people.

Your brilliant victory at the elections is a clear indication of national support to the course of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the successes that the country has reached in the last ten years."

The letter notes that the support of an absolute majority of voters in open, transparent and fair elections proved the unity of the government and the people.

"The trust and confidence of the people were acquired thanks to your targeted policies that allowed the republic to develop, improved the welfare of the population, ensured stability in the country and turned Azerbaijan into the leading country in the region - a major player in the implementation of projects of international importance," the document continues.

The party draws attention to the election of Azerbaijan a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and at the moment the country is presiding over this structure.

The YAP`s letter also reminded about the launch of Azerbaijan`s first satellite into space.

"The people are confident that under your leadership in the next five years, the country will achieve new successes in all areas of political and social life. Citizens believe that Azerbaijan will strengthen its position, and the members of our society will continue to live in an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and stability," the letter underlined.

It is stated that of a special feeling of pride is the fact that each member of the ruling party was actively involved in the election campaign, and made every effort for the victory of President Ilham Aliyev.
