Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov will test his strength at the Tata Steel India Rapid & Blitz tournament, to be held in Kolkata, India.
The Tata Steel India Rapid & Blitz is an over-the-board tournament where top players compete in a series of rapid and blitz games.
The rapid event is a 10-player round-robin tournament with a 15+10 time control. The blitz event is a 10-player double round-robin tournament with a 3+2 time control. The player with the most points at the end of each tournament wins.
