Defense Ministry: Soldier dies mishandling gun

Defense Ministry: Soldier dies mishandling gun

Some web-based media outlets have released information of Azerbaijani soldier Orujov Samir Dadash having been killed as a result of a ceasefire violation from the Armenian side.

Soldier S.Orujov, drafted from Zardab district, was injured as a result of mishandling his gun on Thursday, the Defense Ministry said.

The injured soldier received first aid but died on the way to a military hospital.

The incident is under investigation, and a criminal case has been opened.
