The traditional informal meeting of the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held on December 26-27 in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin, AzVision.az reports citing TASS.
Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev expressed hope that the summit would give additional impetus to strengthening cooperation in the Commonwealth.
As the Uzbek side said, the participants of the informal summit will discuss issues of expanding cooperation in the CIS, sum up the results of the outgoing year and exchange views on priority areas of practical cooperation.
