Rovnag Abdullayev and his delegation are in Malta to watch this evening`s football match between Malta and Azerbaijan. Mr Abdullayev is also the president of the Azeri FA.
The government said the talks focused on energy and Socar`s role within the Electrogas consortium which is building the new power station.
Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi accompanied the Prime Minister during the meeting.
