India tries to destabilize the South Caucasus Region by providing missiles to Armenia - Pakistani expert

On 20 January 2023, Khalid Taimur Akram, an Executive Director, of the Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad gave interview to the program “Radius” on ICIMAI TV. Taimur Akram highlighted that how India is trying to destabilize the South Caucasus Region by providing weapons / missiles to Armenia.

"Recently we have been hearing news about India's intention to sell weapon systems to Armenia. We are talking about Indian-made weapon systems that can destroy air targets at a distance of more than 70 kilometers. Indeed, most security problems in Asia are the result of India's foreign policy," the expert highlighted.

"As Pakistan we have been facing with this for many years. Most security challenges of Pakistan are mainly related with it," Taimur Akram noted.

He said that India was aware of the regional context in the South Caucasus and the ongoing peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Certainly, Baku cannot remain indifferent to India's talks with Armenia on arms sale.
