The OSCE Minsk Group is now involved in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict like never before, French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier said with regard to the latest escalation on the frontline, AzVision.az reports citing to news.am.
The diplomat noted that the Minsk Group is currently working on resuming the Azerbaijan-Armenia discourse at the highest level.
“I’m following with concern the increasing ceasefire violations on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and the contact line where there have been new victims, use of large caliber weapons and threats to the security of civilians in some areas,” said the French ambassador, adding that France, as a Minsk Group co-chair, calls on the parties to the conflict to avoid any escalation of military tension, and to take all measures that are necessary to maintain ceasefire.
