Russian-Armenian presidents meet in Moscow
Serzh Sargsyan: "Besides large-scale weapons, the Azerbaijani side is using artillery"
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin during his working visit to Russia on September 7.
The presidents discussed Armenian-Russian bilateral ties, cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian areas.

The presidents have also exchanged views on cooperation within Armenia`s integration process in Eurasian Economic Union.

In the meeting with Armenian president? Vladimir Putin noted that commodity turnover between the two countries declined during the first 6 month of the current year: “Unfortunately the trend began to decline during the first 6 month of the current year. Perhaps we will talk about this today as well. There are certain nuances regarding which I have no answers yet; I’d like to discuss these issues with you,” Putin said.

Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan has thanked his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for turning over to the Armenian justice system the case of the Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, suspected of the murder of a family in Armenia’s Gyumri city.

Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan expressed his hope that the talks with the Russian President Vladimir Putin will result in a new solution to the issue related to the energy source prices in Armenia, which are impacted by the fluctuations of the currency rates.

Serzh Sargsyan noted that Russia will provide $200 million soft loan to Armenia.
“An agreement is signed on providing $200 million soft loan to Armenia. This will allow us renew the armory of the Armenian Armed Forces.”

Armenian President also did not forget to complain on Azerbaijan at the meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin: “I’d like to thank Russia and you for your efforts in the search for ways of Karabakh conflict settlement. The border has been very tense over the last two weeks; besides large-scale weapons, the Azerbaijani side is using artillery. Of course, we have to respond,” he said.
