Azerbaijani president takes the oath
The inauguration ceremony of Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev, elected President of Azerbaijan Republic by the national voting, has taken place.

The event participants welcomed President Aliyev with warm and prolonged applauses.

Soldiers of the Armed Forces bought the national flag of Azerbaijan Republic and banner of the Azerbaijani President to the stage under the tune of the grand march, AzerTAc reports.

Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Republic Farhad Abdullayev and judges of the Constitutional Court were invited to the stage.

Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev addressed the event:

"Dear ladies and gentlemen!

The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Republic, under the decision made on 19 October 2013, approved the Central Election Commission`s outcome on the presidential elections of Azerbaijan Republic, and announced Mr. Ilham Aliyev the President of Azerbaijan Republic.

Pursuant to Article 103 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, Mr. Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev, elected President of Azerbaijan Republic, is invited to take the oath with participation of the judges of the Constitutional Court."

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev put his hand on the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic and took the oath:

"I swear to observe the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, preserve the state independence and territorial integrity and serve the people with dignity while exercising the powers of President of Azerbaijan Republic!"

The national anthem of Azerbaijan Republic chanted.

Then the president put his hand on the Glorious Quran and swore:

"I put my hand on the Glorious Quran and swear: I will be faithful to national values and traditions of the Azerbaijani people formed throughout centuries, and will always revere them."

President Ilham Aliyev bowed and kissed the national flag of Azerbaijan.

The national flag and the president`s banner were taken out of stage.

President Ilham Aliyev then addressed the event with a wise speech.
